In 2025, businesses faced a complex landscape shaped by global economic uncertainty, shifting trade dynamics, and ongoing supply chain pressures. Against this backdrop, Invest Mississauga remained focused on delivering the support, tools, and connections needed to help businesses adapt, grow, and succeed.
A key milestone this year was the launch of Partners in Trade, a city-wide initiative designed to help companies navigate evolving trade conditions. Through this program, businesses gained access to tariff guidance, market intelligence, funding pathways, and direct advisory support—equipping them to manage risk while exploring new global opportunities.
The year also marked an important expansion of Invest Mississauga’s portfolio with the integration of the Film & Music Office. This addition reflects the city’s commitment to supporting one of its fastest-growing sectors. Notable achievements included the release of Mississauga’s first Live Music Economic Impact Report and a strong year for film production, with 815 filming days recorded across the city.
Investment activity remained robust across key sectors such as advanced manufacturing, technology, life sciences, and smart logistics—demonstrating continued confidence in Mississauga as a destination for growth and innovation.
Entrepreneurship also continued to thrive through IDEA Mississauga. Over the past year, the program supported 26 new businesses and delivered 228 consultations, helping founders access critical funding through initiatives like Step-Up, Starter Company Plus, Summer Company, and the EmpowHER Tech Launchpad.
Beyond programs and services, Invest Mississauga strengthened its global and local partnerships through trade missions, sector-focused initiatives, and collaborative events. These efforts continue to reinforce the city’s reputation as a hub for innovation, talent, and investment.
